SUS304 Stainless Steel
US304 refers to 304 stainless steel. SUS is a Japanese material standard and 304 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced according to the ASTM standard. 304 is equivalent to China's (0Cr18Ni9) stainless steel, Japan also cited the name of the United States, called it :SUS304. Due to its high nickel content and austenitic single-phase structure at room temperature, it has high corrosion resistance compared with Cr13 stainless steel, and has higher ductility and toughness at low temperature, room temperature and high temperature, as well as better cold-working forming and weldability. But the strength at room temperature is low, the tendency of intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion is large, and the machinability is poor. Austenite does not undergo phase change when heated, so it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. To improve the corrosion resistance of steel can only be heat treated.
